It’s been almost two years since Disney World’s historic closure and reopening, and Disney takes more and more steps towards “normal” every day!
We’ve seen the return of nighttime shows and parades, concerts have returned to EPCOT festivals, traditional character meet and greets are back, and now, another entertainment option has returned to Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
No, we’re not talking about the new Finding Nemo musical show (though, you really should check that out too!), we’re talking about one of the entertainment options you can just stumble upon in the park — the Harambe Village Acrobats!
We took a look at the calendar today, June 26th, for Disney’s Animal Kingdom and noticed that the Harambe Village Acrobats are listed as doing performances at 10:30AM, 11:30AM, 12:30PM, 1:30PM, 2:30PM, and 3:30PM!
If you’ve never had a chance to see these daring performers, they are incredible — they tumble, dance, drum, and perform acrobatic stunts for Disney World guests. You can see them in the center of the Africa area of the park near Tusker House and Kilimanjaro Safaris where other performances also take place daily.
Of course, these showtimes could change, so we always recommend checking the My Disney Experience app on the day of your visit to be sure you catch them when they’re out performing.
Looking for other entertainment options in Disney’s Animal Kingdom? Don’t miss the recently updated Finding Nemo: The Big Blue…And Beyond or the classic Festival of the Lion King. Both are Broadway-quality shows with air-conditioned theaters.
There are also plenty of other things to do in Animal Kingdom when you’re not riding attractions. You can pet animals, watch Disney veterinarians do their thing, and learn to draw from an animator at the Conservation Station at Rafiki’s Planet Watch. Be sure to watch how to have a perfect day in the park below and stay tuned to AllEars for more!
